About Louis FAGLIN

Celebrating 125 years of handcrafted jewelry and accessories

We’ve been quietly crafting behind the scenes for generations.

Louis Faglin, previously known as the Faglin Atelier, was established in the small town of Gonesse in 1899 by Léon Faglin as a humble button maker. Today, the brand stands as a testament to French craftsmanship and heritage—seven generations in, we’re still here, pushing the boundaries of craftsmanship.

Our story starts with mother-of-pearl in a modest workshop. In the 1920s, we pivoted to manufacturing jewelry like cufflinks after forming a partnership with the renowned Boyer Company. This collaboration connected our atelier with wealthy patrons in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, marking the beginning of Louis Faglin’s ascent to prominence.

Throughout the 20th century, we forged and created renowned collections for luxury maisons on Place Vendôme, Avenue Montaigne, and the Champs-Élysées. We were instrumental in developing accessories such as the modern cufflink with a pill-shaped rear toggle, designed in collaboration with Marcel and André Boyer of Frères Boyer. These innovations became signature pieces for some of the most iconic fashion houses, and we’ve honed our expertise with every passing decade.

In 1999, marking a century of craftsmanship, the company rebranded as Louis Faglin, transitioning from a manufacturer to a boutique maison. This evolution allowed us to offer discerning clientele a direct line to competitively-priced, world-class accessories. Guided by Pascal Bertrand, whose experience includes significant mandates within prestigious circles of the fashion industry, Louis Faglin blends modern trends with its rich heritage. Pascal, once a protégé of Raymonde Zehnacker (Christian Dior’s right-hand), ensures that our timeless, best-selling models continue to endure.

We’ve specialized in the art of guilloché—a centuries-old engraving technique perfected by the deft touch of a rose engine lathe, operated by hand. It’s the kind of detail you notice not because it screams at you, but because it whispers elegance. Since the closing of our original atelier in 2012, we have continued working with other small, family-owned guilloché ateliers near Paris that have been in business for almost a century.

Our materials are as storied as our history. From handpicked stones to vintage Swarovski crystals, each element is chosen with purpose. We source high-quality metals like 18k and 24k gold, 925 sterling silver, palladium, and rhodium, ensuring our pieces are built to last a lifetime. Our collections continue to use mother-of-pearl, a nod to our beginnings, along with precious and semi-precious stones, including vintage Swarovski crystals accumulated over more than a century. And while our hands are seasoned, our spirit is always curious—infusing each piece with the kind of quality that speaks for itself.

Today, we offer a diverse range of handcrafted jewelry, including cufflinks, tie clips, money clips, pins, necklaces, rings, bangles, and bracelets. Our men’s and unisex lines feature formal and smart casual collections, suitable for all seasons. Our signature hand-operated engraving process, involving a diamond-tipped lathe for precise geometric designs, continues to elevate our products.

New collections are released twice a year, in Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer, offering both metal-only and stone-embellished pieces. We take pride in perpetuating our collections of vintage mother-of-pearl and Swarovski crystals, sourced from the rarest pieces throughout our history. Whether you’re new to jewelry or a connoisseur, we invite you to explore our heritage—a blend of time-honored tradition and forward-thinking craftsmanship.

Louis Faglin isn’t just a brand; it’s a legacy, an experience of French quality designed to inspire, comfort, and impress—all without needing to shout. We’ve always worked in the background, making sure that what we create speaks louder than any introduction. Now, we’re inviting you to be part of our next chapter—where the rich history of French craftsmanship meets the future of boutique accessories. Let's create the next hundred years together.
